Biography

Alex Marach is a Senior Consultant with CPCS. A public policy professional and economist by training, Alex has strong experience consulting on projects involving transportation planning, policy, and economic assessments, multimodal freight analysis, and regulatory analysis. Alex has analyzed state and federal transportation policy, including MAP-21 and the FAST Act, and has a wide-range of experience assessing transportation policy for states, provinces, federal governments, government associations and industry groups. Alex has facilitated stakeholder discussions to identify freight issues and opportunities and has extensive experience consulting with public and private stakeholders. Among other research projects, Alex has supported and managed planning, analytical, and strategic projects, as well as worked on-site supporting clients.  He holds a Masters of Public Affairs degree from the La Follette School of Public Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Politics & Government from Ripon College.
