CPCS' contribution to the Second Compact in Senegal

The Government of Senegal and the Government of the United States recently signed a five-year $600 million compact to support Senegal's power sector.

Over the past year, CPCS was involved in two important studies for the MCC and the Government of Senegal: the development of a 2035 strategy for the electricity sector, and the feasibility studies of physical and non-physical investments to improve the performance of Senegal's power system.

Together, these studies were part of the preparation process for the Energy Compact between MCC and the Government of Senegal. This set of investment projects financed by MCC is designed to stimulate economic growth and reduce poverty by improving Senegal's electricity sector, reducing costs and increasing access to electricity for people and businesses.
